Artisan Coffee Group has manufactured, rebuilt & installs roasters & afterburners for over 40 years. Artisan Coffee Group has used Jacob Tubing Systems in their installations and maintenance for years. This case study will cover how Artisan Coffee Group uses Jacob Tubing systems with their customers and will visit existing customers using Jacob Tubing Systems in their current operation.

The project

Artisan Coffee Group uses Jacob Tubing Systems to install and maintain roasters and afterburners. We followed Artisan Coffee Group and CEO Marty Curtis to their home location in Romance, Arkansas and to an onsite maintenance visit in Chicago, Illinois.

Artisan Coffee Group

We met Marty of Artisan Coffee Group and his team at their home location in Romance, Arkansas. After a tour of the facility, we viewed the machines that Marty and his team were working on. Artisan Coffee Group only uses Jacob Tubing for their installation and maintenance. Initially, the Artisan Coffee group would roll their tubing for their customers, but once they discovered Jacob Tubing, they never returned. Marty prefers Jacob Tubing because of the ease of installation and the 14 gauge weight. In addition, once they switched to Jacob Tubing, it reduced the frequency of maintenance needed on the coffee roasters.

RoZark Hills Coffee Roastery

RoZark Hills is a Coffee Roastery in Rose Bud, Arkansas - Not far from Artisan Coffee Group's Facility. Artisan Coffee Group builds and maintains the roasters at RoZark Hills. All of the Roasters at RoZark Hills were rebuilt Roasters using Jacob Tubing Systems. Marty specially fits Jacob Tubing Components to suit every system they encounter. At RoZark Hills, Artisan Coffee Group customized Jacob sight glasses to be longer and taller to allow a clearer view of the coffee transported to the de-stoner. In addition, Jacob's Quick Connect pull rings make it easier for the employees at RoZark Hills to clean the roasters to avoid fires and help Artisan Coffee Group to keep up with maintenance.

Intelligentsia Coffee

We joined Artisan Coffee Group on a scheduled maintenance visit to one of Intelligentsia’s coffee roasteries in Chicago. Intelligentsia Coffee is a coffee roasting company and retailer based in Chicago, Illinois. They also have roasting locations in Los Angeles, CA. During Artisan Coffee Group's visit at Intelligentsia, they installed cooling blankets onto the tubing systems for the coffee roasters. They also were called to repair one of the cooling tray on the larger roasters.
