Multi-Port Distributors

JACOB multi-way distributors are the compact solution for conveying bulk goods to many machines or silos in the production process. In order to meet different requirements, JACOB has various multi-way distributors with up to 2 x 20 outlets in it’s standard portfolio.

The multi-port distributor is available as standard in 45 and 60 degrees and is ideal for distributing granular bulk goods, such as grain, by gravity without overpressure inside the tubing system and with no demand for dust-tightness internally.

The feeding takes place from the top through the turn-tube towards the required outlet inside a closed casing. With the double multi-port distributor, feeding takes place from the top through two counter-rotating turn-tubes.

The dust-tight version of the multi-port distributor is particularly suitable for distributing bulk goods by gravity up to a maximum of 1 bar overpressure in the tubing system. In this version, sealing of the turn-tubes outlet by means of pneumatic pressing onto outlet sleeve.

On request, all versions of the multi-port distributor are also available with FOOD GRADE, and except the double multi-port distributor additionally with DETECTABLE DESIGN.

Case Study

Bühler’s Bakery Innovation Center (BIC) covers a complete range of bakery processes – from conception to production. Tubes and components from JACOB were used for bulk material handling and exhaust air aspiration. Because the systems in question are used for processing foodstuffs, all the components used are from the particularly high-quality FOOD GRADE line. These fulfil the requirements of EC 1935/2004 and the FDA. Also part of the system: the blue U­shaped seals, which are metal detectable thanks to incorporated metal particles.
