Proven Leak Tightness
The requirements for leak tightness in industrial piping systems are continuously increasing — driven by the need for greater energy efficiency, technical safety, and process reliability. In response, our JACOB pipe systems have undergone extensive leak testing under realistic operating conditions. The goal was to document their exceptionally low leakage rates in accordance with the relevant standards for lipped ends and flanged pipe constructions..
The test results confirm that our system clearly meets the required limit values according to DIN 25496 and DIN EN 1751.
If you have any questions about a specific standard that is not listed, please contact our technical department – we will compare your requirements with the measured values.
Our clamping ring system with u shaped seals was tested for leaks. The results show that the leakage rates are well below the permissible limits of various standards, even at increased test pressures. We tested up to DN400.
Special features of the test system:
Our flange connections were tested under realistic conditions across several nominal diameters. No measurable leakage was detected in any of the assemblies — even at a test pressure of 500 mbar. These results demonstrate that the flange connections are exceptionally tight when properly assembled. The measured values were below the detection limits of the measurement equipment used. Testing was carried out up to DN800, confirming compliance with the leak tightness requirements of DIN 25496:2021-10, even for large cross-sections, provided the assembly is free of tension and performed according to the installation specifications.
